Join Horizons on December 2nd from 6-7 pm for our Little Points of Light
Local shop owner Vanessa Trout of Blanco Cellars and the Little Cheese shop starts us out with a tutorial for making bruschetta for upcoming holiday festivities! Then we'll hear from three families in your community and how they were impacted by Early Intervention. It'll be a night of laughter and storytelling with a drawing for door prizes throughout the event! Horizons Little Points of Light Campaign begins early December and raises funds for Horizons Early Intervention and Family Support programs. Early Intervention is for children under the age of three who have a developmental delay or disability related to cognitive skills, communication skills, social/emotional skills, physical skills, and/or adaptive skills. A Service Coordinator works with parents to access necessary services and therapy is provided by a Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and/or Physical Therapist. Family Support offers service coordination and financial support to families with an eligible family member of any age living at home. Funds are used to reimburse families for approved expenses associated with the care of their family member, including medical and professional therapies and treatments, respite care, home modifications, insurance deductibles, co-payments, and adaptive equipment.
