Volunteer firefighter, Jess Graber saved the barn of George Stranahan, long-time brewer owner, whiskey connoisseur, and Woody Creek local. Their passion for whiskey lead them to develop a recipe for a distinctively smooth and flavorful American single malt whiskey using their mountain surroundings to their advantage. Using only the finest resources their whiskey is made from 4 ingredients: 100% malted barley, yeast, Rocky Mountain water and time in the barrel.

Stranahan’s Sherry Cask is their latest innovation & expression in single malt. Four-year-old Rocky Mountain Single Malt is transferred to 500-liter Oloroso Sherry Barrels to cask finish. Procured from the Andalusia region of southern Spain, these sherry barrels have been aging wine for over 40 years, leaving a depth of flavor soaked into the ancient oak staves. Cut to strength with rocky mountain snowmelt.

Riedel Vinum Single Malt Whisky Set of 2. The complex flavors of fine scotch whisky merit a glass designed to bring out their best. Riedel Vinum has accomplished this after rounds of testing with master distillers.
  • Elongated thistle shape on a truncated stem is ideal for maximizing the smoky and earthy flavors of malt scotch whisky.
  • Small, slightly turned-out lip directs the spirit to the tip of the tongue, where sweetness is perceived.
  • Machine-made with over 24 percent lead crystal.

The Guidebook to Whiskey and Other Distilled Spirits in Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming presents 111 active distilled spirits producers in the tri-state region--organized geographically with in-depth two-page profiles for sixty-three featured brands, describing their production practices and hundreds of craft spirits.
